ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT Purpose: The Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA) offers assistance programs for rehabilitation, redevelopment and industrial development within Hastings. Rehabilitation means remodeling and reuse of existing residential and commercial buildings. Redevelopment means assembling and clearing sites for new construction. HEDRA may issue housing, medical care and industrial revenue bonds for financing qualified projects. Meetings: The regular meetings of the HEDRA Board are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in City Hall, 101 E. 4th Street. If you wish to bring a matter to the board, please contact John Grossman to be placed on the agenda, preferably a week early.
